Help · Your plan

How your week is planned

Your week is built from your goal, the days you can train, your equipment and your check-ins. Axial Fit suggests a week, explains anything it advises against, and leaves the final say to you.

Where to see it

Tap Plan. The page is called Your week and has two tabs, This week and Next week. A week is a calendar week. It starts on Sunday or Monday, whichever you chose under Week starts on in Settings.

One line above the days shows the dates and a label:

  • Suggested: the week Axial Fit would plan for you. Tap Use this week to take it.
  • Your week: the week you are using.
  • Not planned: nothing is on this week yet. Tap Copy last week or Suggest my week.

How each new week starts

The first time you visit, Axial Fit asks How should your weeks start?

  • Suggested for me: each new week starts from Axial Fit's suggestion.
  • Same as last week: each new week copies the one before.
  • I'll plan it myself: nothing is added until you add it.

Nothing starts before you answer. After that, a week you have not touched becomes your week the first time you open Today in it, and today's session stays on today. To change your answer, open the Next week tab and tap Change beside Weeks start.

What shapes a suggested week

  • Strength days get a day between them, because the second session works better on a recovered body.
  • Hard cardio, such as Tabata or a sprint session, goes after strength, not right before it. Hard work just before a heavy squat or deadlift usually costs you the lifting.
  • All-out sessions get a full day between them, and the suggestion keeps them to a couple a week, which is where most of the benefit is.
  • Brisk cardio sessions are kept to a few a week, not back to back.
  • Easy cardio is spread evenly over your days, toward a weekly target in minutes.
  • Axial Fit adds training days slowly, one at a time, and more slowly later in life.

If you answered that you already follow a training schedule, Axial Fit suggests the whole week for your goal at once instead of building up to it. Every safety rule still applies.

Your choices win

These shape what Axial Fit suggests. They do not limit what you can plan. If you put two hard days back to back, the week shows one short note saying why it would space them, and your plan stays as you set it. To change a day, see Moving a session.

Tools for the week

Under your week is one row of links:

  • Copy to next week repeats this week next week.
  • Away asks once, then makes every day from today on a rest day.
  • Templates lets you save a week by name and apply it later.

Your usual days and session length are on More, then Training days. Your goal and pace are on More, then Goal.

Days that have passed

A past day is read only. If a planned session went unlogged, Today asks once, for example "Did you do your walk last Friday?" Yes lets you record it as planned or log what you did. No skips it, and nothing more is asked.

If you have a coach

When your coach holds your plan, their days show "Your coach set this." Next week is theirs to plan and reads only for you. See Working with a coach.
