The morning check-in
The morning check-in is one question on Today: How are you feeling today? It takes a tap, and your answer can make the day easier, never harder.
Answering it
- Open Today. The card at the top reads How are you feeling today?
- Tap Good, and that is all. The question closes and your workout is ready to start. If you feel different later, use Adjust today.
- Or tap Not so good. Choose your Sleep (Good, OK or Bad), your Energy (Good, OK or Bad), your Soreness (None, Manageable or Interfering), and answer Any unusual pain? Yes or No. Add a short note under Anything else? if you like. Tap Save.
Your workout shows the whole time, and nothing waits for the answer. If you tap Start without answering, Axial Fit counts the day as Good.
Turning it off
In Settings, under Check-in, turn off Ask how I’m feeling before a workout. Workouts then start without the question. Something hurt? stays in every workout and on the finish card. If you often start without answering, Today asks once whether to skip the question.
What your answers change
Axial Fit never changes a session you have already seen without asking. When an answer points to an easier day, it proposes the change and you choose.
- Soreness that gets in the way. Today suggests taking one set off each movement. Tap One set less today, or Keep it as planned if you feel fine.
- A stretch of bad sleep and low energy. The same offer: one set less, or keep it as planned.
- A day that points to lighter work. If you open an all-out session on such a day, it says once that an easier session today keeps you on track. Start anyway starts it.
Why one set less? Soreness or poor sleep leaves the body with less to give. One set off each movement keeps the session and the habit, and costs almost nothing in progress. Skipping the day costs more.
If you answer Yes to unusual pain
Pain is never a reason to push harder. On a pain day:
- The workout card says: "You reported unusual pain this morning. An easier session today keeps you on track."
- Easy walk instead is the suggested choice. Start anyway is beside it, and Lighter today is a third option.
- Any harder session you open says the same sentence once. The choice is yours, and it is recorded as yours.
Nothing is locked. Axial Fit does not diagnose pain. If it stays or worries you, see a doctor or physical therapist.
The check-in is the one daily pain question. If something hurts during a session, use Something hurt? on that set or Something hurt on the finish card instead. See Saving a set.
Lighter today versus the check-in
If you simply want an easier session, use Adjust today, then Lighter. If something hurts, answer Yes to unusual pain in the check-in instead. When the check-in has already offered one set less, Lighter is not added on top of it.
Who sees your answers
Your check-in answers shape your own plan. If you have a coach who can see your sessions, they can see when you reported pain or low energy. Your coach never sees the note you type. See Your data and privacy.
